Sawn timber
A wood product obtained by vertical sawing from at least two sides, is classified based on its visual appearance, primarily determined by criteria such as knot size, quantity, and placement. High-quality, straight-grained timber is derived from slowly grown forests, characterized by few branches, and small-sized knots, ensuring superior quality.
Planed timber
To enhance sawn timber, a common method is planing, resulting in rectangular or specifically profiled planed timber. The aim is a smooth surface devoid of sawing roughness or ridges. Planed timber finds applications in interior and exterior claddings as well as floorings.
Thermowood
Thermal modification enhances the technical attributes of wood through a process involving high temperatures (around 200°C) and steam. This method is applied to pine, spruce, or deciduous trees, producing thermo-wood, a non-toxic, dimensionally stable, decay-resistant, and resin-free material suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in any climate. Perfect for Cladding & Decking.
